Synopsis
Beneath the Darkness (2012) is an American thriller starring Dennis Quaid that you can watch online on iFILM. A sleepy Texas town, its most respected mortician, and a handful of teenagers who start to suspect he's a murderer.
Ely Vaughn runs the local funeral home and is treated like a hometown hero — everyone trusts him. Then a group of high schoolers notices something wrong inside his house, and one of their friends is killed right in front of them. Now they have to prove that the man the whole town admires is a cold-blooded killer, all while trying not to become his next victims. Quaid clearly enjoys playing the villain here, charming on the outside and hollow underneath.
Director Martin Guigui builds a lean teen horror-thriller out of an old campfire idea — a respectable face with a nightmare behind it. There's no big budget or twisty plotting, but there is Quaid in the kind of nasty role he rarely takes. Stream Beneath the Darkness (2012) online on iFILM.
