Synopsis
Delhi-6 (दिल्ली ६, 2009) is an Indian drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that you can watch online on iFILM. Roshan is an Indian-American who arrives in Old Delhi to spend time with his ailing grandmother during her final days. He expects a short visit. What he gets is a first real encounter with a world he only knew secondhand.
The lanes around Chandni Chowk hit him all at once: mosques beside temples, street vendors arguing in three languages, a centuries-old rhythm with no room for observers. He begins to fall for the chaos — and for Bittu, a neighbor's daughter who wants out of the life her family has mapped for her. Then a religious dispute tears through the neighborhood and the warmth evaporates fast.
Mehra had previously directed Rang De Basanti (2006), a massive hit that sparked a national conversation; Delhi-6 is quieter, more interested in texture than in statement.
