Synopsis
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) is an Indian biographical drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra — watch online on iFILM the story of Milkha Singh, the athlete India called "The Flying Sikh." Farhan Akhtar takes the role and barely leaves the screen across 186 minutes.
Singh grew up in Punjab, survived the killing of his family during the 1947 Partition, and landed in Delhi with nothing. The Indian Army gave him a track, a coach, and a reason to run. He won gold at the 1958 Asian Games, took the Commonwealth title that same year, and finished fourth — by a fraction of a second — at the 1960 Rome Olympics, a result that haunted him far longer than any medal could.
Director Mehra is less interested in the podium than in what runs alongside Singh at every race: grief that refuses to stay buried. The film's real weight sits in its flashback sequences, where the Partition is rendered without softening. Watch Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) online on iFILM.
