Home for Christmas (2019), Season 1 is Netflix's Norwegian comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes and one very specific deadline. Johanne has lied to her family about a boyfriend, and Christmas is twenty-four days away.
She's a single nurse in her thirties, worn down by the questions at every family dinner. So she invents a partner, then has to go find a real one before the lie collapses under the tree. What follows is a parade of dates: men from across town, each more off than the last, plus an inconvenient pull toward a colleague named Jonas whose total opposite keeps asking her out. A hospital party, a strange bus ride, run-ins with old flames — every episode hands her a fresh way to overthink it. The countdown keeps shrinking; her certainty doesn't.
