Chris works nights in one of the city's hardest neighbourhoods. His marriage is coming apart. The inside of his head is worse. Rookie Rachel is assigned as his partner and starts to realise her new colleague's issues go far beyond tiredness. The flashpoint is Casey — a young woman who stole from a dangerous dealer named Carl, and whose path across Chris's crosses at exactly the wrong moment. His already compromised position gets far more complicated. Episode four is the bottom. Episode five asks where his loyalty actually sits when it counts.
