Fay Grim (2007) — watch online on iFILM. Directed by Hal Hartley, this globe-trotting spy comedy stars Parker Posey as Fay, returning years after the events of Henry Fool (1997). A CIA operative played by Jeff Goldblum shows up at her door: her fugitive husband Henry is apparently dead, but his notebooks have surfaced in France — and apparently contain something multiple intelligence agencies want very badly.

Fay agrees to help in exchange for her brother Simon's release from prison. From there the film moves through several countries and several competing agencies, each chasing the same journals for different reasons. Hartley shoots it with deliberately tilted angles and the same flat, absurdist dialogue that defined Henry Fool — a style that functions as both a parody of spy cinema and a continuation of his own deadpan universe.
