Synopsis

A year after Mio dies, her husband Takumi and their six-year-old son Yuji are still adrift. The boy clings to a picture book his mother left, with a promise inside: she will come back when the rains arrive. Then one wet afternoon they find a woman sheltering under a tree — and she has Mio's face. She remembers nothing of her old life, yet she stays with them for six short weeks. Yuji is certain his mother lives only as long as the rainy season lasts. Takumi, given an impossible second chance, finally says the things he never managed to.
