Synopsis
New Kids Turbo (2010) is a Dutch action comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Five small-town louts from the village of Maaskantje lose their jobs to the recession and make one simple decision: from now on, they pay for nothing. Not gas, not beer, not fines, not a thing.
Richard, Gerrie, Robbie, Barrie and Rikkert sport tracksuits, bad mustaches and proud mullets, tear around in beat-up cars and trade insults that would make a sailor blush. What starts as petty refusal to pay snowballs fast. Soon the cops show up, then a SWAT team, and by the end Maaskantje is practically under military siege. The dumber the stakes get, the harder these guys dig in.
Directors Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil built the film out of their own Dutch sketch show New Kids, dragging all its grime onto the big screen: crude gags, ridiculous shootouts and zero restraint whatsoever.
