Texas Killing Fields

Texas Killing Fields (2011) is a grim crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. For years, bodies keep turning up in the swampy flats outside a small Texas town — a patch of marsh the locals call the Killing Fields.

Two detectives work the case from opposite temperaments: Texas native Mike Souder (Sam Worthington) and transplanted New Yorker Brian Heigh (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). There are plenty of victims but no real crime scene — the dead are dumped here from somewhere else. When an unseen predator starts taunting the cops by phone and snatches a girl they know, the hunt turns personal. Jessica Chastain and a very young Chloë Grace Moretz round out the cast. Director Ami Canaan Mann — her father Michael Mann produced — leans on damp, hopeless atmosphere rather than action.
