Synopsis
Our Children (À perdre la raison, 2012) is a Belgian drama directed by Joachim Lafosse — watch online on iFILM. Murielle and Mounir are young and newly married, moving in with Mounir's adoptive father, the well-off Dr. Pinget, who once brought him from Morocco as a child. A house, income, a growing family — everything looks set.
The trouble is that Pinget never really released his hold. As more children arrive, his presence in every decision grows, and Murielle finds herself with no room to push back. Tahar Rahim and Niels Arestrup — reunited after A Prophet — form a dynamic where generosity and control are indistinguishable from the outside. Émilie Dequenne plays Murielle in a performance so quietly devastating that she took Best Actress at Cannes 2012.
