Chip an' Dale

Chip an' Dale (1947) is a Disney animated short you can watch online on iFILM. Donald Duck needs a log for his fire and grabs the one log he shouldn't: the home of two chipmunks and their carefully hoarded acorns.

Down comes the tree, but the stash stays inside. So Chip and Dale set about dousing Donald's flames and hauling their nuts back out, while the short-fused duck boils over faster than his own hearth. Seven minutes of pure chase-and-mischief, directed by Jack Hannah, with Clarence Nash voicing Donald. This is the cartoon that finally gave the two chipmunks their names and distinct personalities.
