Synopsis
Antarctic Journal (남극일기, 2005) is a Korean psychological horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Lim Pil-sung. Six men are crossing Antarctica on foot without outside support, each hauling roughly a hundred kilograms, pushing toward the Pole of Inaccessibility — the point on the continent furthest from any coastline.
On day twenty-one they find a journal left by a British expedition that went missing in 1922. The youngest crew member, Min-jae (Yoo Ji-tae), notices the sketches inside resemble his own teammates too closely for coincidence. From that moment the cold stops being the main threat. Song Kang-ho plays team leader Choi Do-hyun, a man so consumed by reaching the goal that what is happening around him simply does not register.
The film plays as a slow collapse of trust rather than a creature feature — the Antarctic wilderness is just the container. Stream it online on iFILM.
