Synopsis
Bloodlands (2021) is a British crime series you can watch online on iFILM. When a car is hauled out of the bay, Northern Irish detective DCI Tom Brannick, played by James Nesbitt, instantly links it to an old unsolved case he takes far too personally. Too personally because his own wife was among its long-ago victims.
The trail reaches back to the Troubles and to a near-mythical assassin known as Goliath, whose very existence Brannick's colleagues dismiss as a story. The harder he digs, the clearer it becomes that the truth he wants could destroy him. Every step of the investigation puts either his career or his family's memory on the line.
The series comes from Jed Mercurio, creator of Line of Duty, and his fingerprints are all over it: clipped interrogation scenes, episodes that cut off mid-breath, and a morality with no clean answers.
