Synopsis
Love Story (2022) is a Russian romantic comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Seva drives a cab and dreams of acting that never quite happens. Masha used to be a free-spirited girl; these days she's a thirty-year-old kept woman who stopped believing in second chances.
Then a fare puts them back in the same car. Masha climbs in as just another client and recognizes her first love behind the wheel. What follows is a 1,600-kilometer haul to Sochi, where a wedding to her wealthy patron waits in a few days. The drive drags everything into the open — old grudges, half-buried flirtation, pride, and a feeling neither of them planned to revisit.
Director Pyotr Todorovsky, grandson of the Soviet master of the same name, keeps the road movie balanced between funny and bruised. It runs on the chemistry between Aleksandr Petrov and Vilma Kutaviciute, and it never tidies up its ending. Good pick if you like reunion stories that don't go sugary.
