Synopsis
Promising Young Woman (2020) is Emerald Fennell's crime thriller, free to watch online on iFILM. Cassie was top of her medical school class. Now she's pushing thirty, living with her parents and serving coffee at a strip-mall café.
On weekends Cassie (Carey Mulligan) runs a private experiment. She fakes being blackout drunk in a bar, waits for some self-described nice guy to take her home, then snaps stone-cold sober. The performance traces back to an old wound: a friend nobody believed. When she runs into former classmate Ryan (Bo Burnham), her routine bends into a far more dangerous game. Alison Brie, Jennifer Coolidge and Clancy Brown round out the cast.
