Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary (2002) is a Canadian horror-ballet you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Guy Maddin and drawn from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's stage production of Bram Stoker's novel. Dancer Wei-Qiang Zhang plays the Count sailing into Victorian England, where Van Helsing and his allies race to protect young Lucy.

Maddin shot the film to look like a fragment of early silent cinema — black-and-white, heavily scratched, using intertitles instead of sound. Swapping Stoker's prose for choreography does something the novel never quite manages: it makes Dracula's magnetism physical and unavoidable rather than something explained in letters and journal entries.
