To the Stars!

To the Stars! (2023, dir./lead Andrei Noskov) is a Russian sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The premise is deliberately absurd: a spacecraft parks above Earth and the aliens demand one human representative — no hero, no scientist, just Boris Kostikov, a junior manager with a mortgage and a bored wife.

Boris gets a few days to wrap up his life in total secrecy. He can't explain why he's suddenly so calm about everything. Nina Usatova and Yuri Galtsev round out the cast, keeping the film warm and slightly chaotic rather than cynical.
