Meatball Machine

Meatball Machine (ミートボールマシン, 2006) is a Japanese sci-fi splatter film you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by Junichi Yamamoto and Yudai Yamaguchi. Alien parasites invade Earth and take over human bodies, rewiring flesh and bone into biomechanical killing machines. The infected are set against each other in brutal, no-exit combat.

The story follows a shy factory worker — played by Issei Takahashi — who can barely bring himself to speak to a woman he has been watching from a distance. When she gets infected, so does he, and the only way to reach her is through a gauntlet of grotesque, parasite-driven violence. Deliberately excessive, drenched in practical gore, and wrapped around a genuinely sincere love story — this is extreme Japanese genre cinema that earned its cult following one shocked viewer at a time.
