Tokyo Gore Police

Tokyo Gore Police (2008) is a Japanese splatter action film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by effects wizard Yoshihiro Nishimura. In a near-future Tokyo, the police force has been privatized into a private army licensed to kill on sight. Its targets are the "engineers" — mutants whose every wound erupts into a fresh blade, spike or chainsaw.

Hunting them is Ruka, an officer of the execution squad played by Eihi Shiina. Her job is simple and endless: cut the engineers down faster than they can grow new weapons out of their own injuries. Between kills she's chasing a colder lead — the truth about who murdered her father, and why. The geysers of blood aren't an exaggeration; Nishimura came up doing practical gore, and he turns nearly every frame into cartoonish excess.

This is pure midnight-movie trash with a mean streak — a sick joke aimed at corporate rule and a society marinating in violence, drowned in fake blood.
