Wishbone

Wishbone (Бери да помни, 2023) is a warm Tatar dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. Six-year-old Ilkham spends his summer with his grandparents in the village, aching for his mother and father. The audience knows from the start what the boy does not: they are gone, killed in a plane crash.

To keep that truth away from him, Grandfather Rasim invents an old game called "Wishbone," and suddenly everyone's wishes start coming true. His wife Sufia grumbles about the whole idea at first. But the game spreads from yard to yard and quietly reshapes not just their household — the dreams of the entire village come back to life. Roza Khairullina gets a part where laughter and tears sit right next to each other.

Directed by Baybulat Batulla, the film draws its dialogue, daily rhythm and mood straight from the Tatar countryside. Rated 12+.
