Synopsis
In Their Skin (2012) is a Canadian horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Still reeling from the death of their young daughter, Mark and Mary Hughes take their son to a remote vacation house to grieve in quiet.
At dawn the neighbors turn up on the porch — Bobby, his wife Jane and their boy. They bring firewood, smile too wide and invite themselves to dinner. Out of politeness the couple lets them in. Then the guests start copying their hosts: the way they speak, the clothes they wear, the family they are — trying a borrowed life on for size. James D'Arcy plays Bobby so softly that the dread arrives well before the blood.
Jeremy Power Regimbal's directing debut runs on mounting unease at the dinner table rather than jump scares, until the visit hardens into a siege. Selma Blair, as the mother, carries the back half of the film. For anyone who likes tight home-invasion thrillers — no monsters, just a deeply uncomfortable idea.
