Synopsis
He Ain't Heavy (2024) is an Australian thriller-drama you can watch online on iFILM. At the end of her rope, a woman ties up her own brother, hauls him out of his flat and locks him inside her home — determined to force him through withdrawal herself, convinced that otherwise the addiction will take them both down.
Love turns into a prison. Her brother is a violent addict, and the days behind locked doors become a grueling standoff: he pleads, threatens, lies and throws himself at the walls while she holds the line, torn between pity and fear. The story is nearly a two-hander, riding on Leila George and Sam Corlett, with Greta Scacchi in support. David Vincent Smith directs, expanding his own short film to feature length.
