Synopsis
Umalta's Gold (Zoloto Umalty, 2024) is a Russian Eastern — a Western transplanted to Siberia — that you can watch online on iFILM. In the wild country along the Umalta River, just before 1917 tears the empire apart, raiders in shaman masks butcher a convoy's guards and ride off with forty puds of gold.
Bulygin, a gold magnate from Petrograd, is wiped out overnight. Recovering the haul is the only thing standing between him and ruin, so he travels to Khabarovsk and hires a pack of cutthroats to chase it through the taiga. The Far Eastern wilderness proves deadlier than any of them. The cast includes Aleksandr Samoylenko, Artyom Tkachenko, Aleksey Shevchenkov, Sofya Ernst and Pavel Derevyanko.
