6+My Dearest Fu Bao
A miraculous encounter, an unforgettable farewell
Synopsis
My Dearest Fu Bao (2024) is a Korean documentary you can watch online on iFILM. It follows Fu Bao, the first giant panda born in South Korea, and the keepers whose everyday clips of her drew millions of fans far beyond the zoo's gates.
A clumsy black-and-white cub grows, on camera, into a genuine social-media star. Then comes the hard part: under an international breeding program, Fu Bao is due to move to China. Directors Shim Hyung-jun and Thomas Ko build the film out of home footage and quiet zoo routines, letting glances and pauses carry the weight instead of a swelling narrator. It's gentle enough for small kids yet lands harder on grown-ups than you'd expect from a panda movie. Stream My Dearest Fu Bao (2024) online on iFILM.
