Rodkom (2020) is a Russian sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. After learning that his wife has cheated on him, a gruff blue-collar dad sets out to keep his twelve-year-old son no matter what.

To look like a model father before the divorce, Shmelev signs up for his son's class parent committee — and lands in a world ruled by women, headed by his old schoolmate Sveta Surkova. The shy bookworm he remembers has turned into a sharp, commanding woman the moms obey and even the principal fears. The one thing that hasn't changed is how much she dislikes him. To survive on the committee, Shmelev has to win over Surkova and the rest of the mothers — a tougher job than anything at the plant. Viktor Khorinyak and Olga Lerman clearly enjoy this clash of egos.

Directed by Mariya Kravchenko, the show is a light comedy built around school group chats, parent meetings and endless collections "for new curtains." The humor is simple and family-friendly, aimed squarely at parents who have lived through all of it. Stream Rodkom (2020) online on iFILM.
