Better Off Ted (2009) is a sharp workplace comedy from ABC you can watch online on iFILM. Ted Crisp (Jay Harrington) runs the R&D department at Veridian Dynamics — a corporation that casually develops weapons drones, freezes employees in cryogenic chambers, and treats ethics violations as a minor line item in the quarterly budget.

Ted mostly enjoys the job. The problem is the company keeps making that harder. His boss Veronica (Portia de Rossi) recites corporate policy with the calm of a legal robot; scientists Lem and Phil regularly become test subjects in their own experiments; and marketing rep Linda is the one person around who remembers that a conscience is supposed to exist. Creator Victor Fresco threaded fake Veridian ad spots through the episodes — parody commercials that run mid-episode and sharpen the satire into something weirder than a standard office sitcom.
