A young silver dragon named Firedrake discovers that the hidden valley where his kind has lived for centuries is about to be flooded. He sets out across the Himalayas with a forest brownie called Sorrel and an orphaned boy named Ben, searching for the Rim of Heaven — a mythical refuge no human has ever found. A dragon hunter is on their trail the whole way.
