Synopsis
Severnaya Zvezda (North Star, 2020) is a Russian crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Police major Stanislav Rakitin fires his weapon during an arrest, and a stray bullet hits a bystander — a popular city TV presenter. The system turns on him fast: he loses his badge, faces criminal charges, and the court hands down four and a half years in a penal colony instead of the probation everyone expected.
Then it gets worse. On the way to a colony meant for former law enforcement, someone swaps Rakitin's paperwork, and he ends up bound for North Star instead — one of the harshest prisons in the country, packed with murderers and men nobody wants to share a cell with. Artyom Tkachenko leads, with Ksenia Lukyanchikova and Ilya Shakunov alongside him.
