Synopsis
Today's Webtoon (2022) is a Korean office comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from the Japanese hit Juhan Shuttai! and directed by Kim Yeon-hwan and Jo Su-won.
On Ma-eum (Kim Se-jeong) trained her whole life for the national judo team, then an ankle injury shut that door for good. A delivery job takes her to a webtoon editorial office — she likes what she sees and clears every hurdle to get hired as a contract employee. She enters a department where everyone moves fast and no one has time to explain. Her deputy editor Seok Ji-hyeon (Choi Daniel) runs a sharp, no-nonsense room. The newest coworker, Gu Jun-yeon (Nam Yoon-su) — ex-IT company, IQ 150 — is brilliant at analysis and lost everywhere else.
The show is specific about how webtoon editorial actually works: reading pitches, deciding what makes it to publication, managing relationships with creators.
