Kris+Tina (2021) is a Russian comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Kris gave up her dream of becoming a vet long ago and now works behind the counter of a pet shop on the edge of town. Every decision she makes is handed off to a coin her father once gave her.
Latte or cappuccino, taxi or subway — Kris has forgotten how to choose for herself. Her long-awaited vacation with her boyfriend falls apart on day one, when a fresh post from her ex Seryozha shows up online. It can't be real: he died in a crash five years ago. At the airport she finds him alive and well, and standing right beside him — herself. Or rather, her better version: confident, successful Tina, already living the life Kris only daydreams about. The cast includes Yulia Khlynina, Pyotr Skvortsov and Andrei Urgant.
Director Vladimir Raksha builds the story around an uncomfortable idea: you stop being yourself the moment you let something else — even a lucky coin — make your choices.
