Synopsis
Dodger (2022) is a British comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM, built around the characters of Charles Dickens. The Artful Dodger and Fagin's crew work the streets of 1830s London — lifting wallets, running schemes, and hunting for any way out of the city's grinding poverty.
Billy Jenkins leads the cast, with Christopher Eccleston as Fagin and Alex Kingston adding weight to the ensemble. Dickens gave the Dodger only a supporting role; this series hands him the full story and asks what he was really after. Early Victorian London here is genuinely grim — child labour, debtors' prisons, filthy back alleys — but the comic register keeps things watchable rather than crushing. The tonal balance is the show's real achievement.
