Female Trouble (1976) — watch online on iFILM. A crime comedy written and directed by John Waters, starring Divine as Dawn Davenport — a teenage runaway who slides from petty delinquency into full-blown infamy. She has an illegitimate child, marries a hairdresser, and eventually lands in the electric chair, all while believing herself to be a star. Waters shot the film in Baltimore with his regular Dreamlanders troupe: Mink Stole, Edith Massey and Mary Vivian Pearce. Gleefully trashy and darkly funny, it belongs to a very specific corner of American underground cinema.
