Lapsis

Lapsis (2021) is an American sci-fi drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Noah Hutton. In an alternate present, delivery driver Ray Tincelli takes a gig he barely understands: hiking miles of forest trail to pull cable between massive metal cubes that power a new quantum trading network.

Ray needs the income to keep himself and his chronically ill younger brother afloat. The work seems manageable at first — fresh air, decent rates. Deeper in the zone, it gets complicated: robot cablers roam the same routes and undercut human workers, while veterans whisper about something that sounds like organizing. Dean Imperial plays Ray with the understated weariness of a man who can't afford principles and might end up with them anyway.
