A string of brazen robberies and killings inside Moscow hotels pulls the whole criminal investigation department off its feet. Losev follows one loose thread, and it runs far deeper than a few stolen suitcases: behind the hotel break-ins sits a tight ring siphoning off state property. Igor Vladimirov, Elena Koreneva, Natalya Andreychenko and Vladimir Nosik fill out the cast. No car chases for the sake of it. The tension comes from interrogation rooms, paperwork and a detective who simply notices what others miss.
