16+Synopsis
The crime action series Odessit (2013) is available to watch online on iFILM. Anton Makarsky plays Arkady Reznik, an Odessa detective who travels to St. Petersburg to look up an old friend, a private investigator. The reunion goes wrong within minutes: his friend is gravely wounded right in front of him.
From that point Reznik lives for one goal — finding out who pulled the trigger and why. Chasing the truth turns him into a target for everyone at once: the police eye him with suspicion, local gangsters close in, and behind them loom forces far bigger than street crooks. Meanwhile two men arrive from Odessa on his trail — Edik and Roma, short on brains but stubborn, sent to collect a debt. There is no help coming, so he has to fight alone. The one person he can lean on is his former flame Tanya, and the old feelings flare back up beside her.
Director Igor Kopylov delivers a solid genre thriller carried by a charming, hard-to-handle southern hero stranded in an unfamiliar city. A good evening pick for fans of Russian crime series with chases and humor. Stream Odessit (2013) online on iFILM.
