Synopsis
Studio 17 (Студия 17, 2013) is a Russian coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM. Money, success, girls — the guys want all of it. What they actually have is a beat-up car wash, which a group of friends decides to convert into a video studio.
From there it's a four-way venture: the first gear, the first clients, the first fights over cash and over women. Freedom goes to your head, friendship gets tested by work, and love scrambles every plan. At twenty the dream feels close and the whole road still lies ahead — and that's exactly the age this series is about, when mistakes don't cost you everything yet. Directors Aleksandr Naumov and Sergey Sentsov tell the growing-up story without sermons or fanfare.
Aleksandr Dmitriev, Roman Ripko and Anastasia Klyueva lead the young cast. It's a breezy watch about building something out of nothing with people who believe in the same thing — easy to recommend to anyone who likes start-from-zero stories and the kind of friendship you can't buy.
