Synopsis
Daylight (Dönence, 2023) is a Turkish family drama you can watch online on iFILM. Gece had one plan for the summer: music, her boyfriend Emir, and prepping for university.
That plan collapses overnight. Her family moves to the seaside town of Foça for her younger sister Gülce, whose condition makes Istanbul's crowds and noise harder by the day. In Foça, Gece meets Özgür, a sailing instructor who lost his parents in a fire and has built his whole life around his brother Rüzgar, who has Asperger's. The two rub off on each other — she starts growing up, he stops pushing his own life to tomorrow. Then Emir shows up.
Directed by Serdar Gözelli, with Caner Topçu and Sümeyye Aydoğan leading, the show is a quiet study of family, duty and the difference between comfortable love and the kind that changes you. One for fans of gentle Turkish drama. Stream Daylight online on iFILM.
