Synopsis
Not Okay (2022) is a dark comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Quinn Shephard. It stars Zoey Deutch as Danni Sanders — an aspiring writer with no audience, no clout, and a very bad plan.
Danni fakes a trip to Paris for her social media feed. While she's posting photoshopped selfies, a real attack happens in the city and she gets swept up as an apparent survivor. Followers come flooding in. Sponsorships, interviews, a platform. The problem: a girl named Rowan (Mia Isaac), an actual survivor of gun violence, befriends her and trusts her story completely. Dylan O'Brien plays a social media influencer who, early on, makes clear what this world actually rewards.
