Synopsis
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) is Jeff Fowler's family adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Settled into the quiet town of Green Hills, the blue blur is itching to prove he can be a real hero and not just a fast one.
His test arrives fast. Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) escapes the mushroom planet and comes back with a new ally, the powerful echidna Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba). They're hunting the Master Emerald, a relic with the power to wipe out civilizations. Sonic (Ben Schwartz) gains a sidekick of his own, the two-tailed fox Tails, and the pair race halfway around the globe to reach the stone first. James Marsden and Tika Sumpter return on the human side.
A sequel to the 2020 hit, it brings the original crew back and scales everything up: more characters lifted straight from the Sega games, bigger chases, and Carrey chewing scenery as the mustachioed villain.
