Synopsis
Gyulchatay (Гюльчатай, 2011) is a Russian melodrama you can watch online on iFILM. In a small Central Asian village lives seventeen-year-old Gyulchatay — gentle, kind, dreaming of training as a nurse so she can help people.
Then she meets Pavel, a Russian soldier from the nearby garrison, and falls in love for the first time. But Rustam comes back to the village — the spoiled son of Alisher, the local strongman. One look at the girl and he decides she will be his wife. Fearing she might refuse, Rustam tricks her father, a poor shepherd, into a crushing debt. There is only one way to settle it: hand over Gyulchatay.
