Synopsis
Moonflower Murders (2024) is a British mystery you can watch online on iFILM. Former editor Susan Ryeland has left publishing behind and settled in Crete with her partner Andreas, until a request from England drags her back into an old case.
Eight years ago a murder took place at a country hotel. Novelist Alan Conway stayed there and turned what he saw into one of his Atticus Pünd whodunits. Cecily MacNeil, who helps run the hotel, read the book and became convinced the wrong man went to prison. Then she vanished. Her parents track down Susan because the truth is buried somewhere in Conway's pages, hidden in names, anagrams and details only a sharp reader would catch.
Adapted from Anthony Horowitz's novel and following on from Magpie Murders, this is a story folded inside a story: Susan's real investigation and Pünd's fictional one keep reflecting each other. Lesley Manville carries it with dry, watchful wit, and it lands for anyone who loves a proper Agatha Christie-style puzzle where the clue sits right there on the page.
