Synopsis
Dexter: Original Sin (2024) is an American crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — a prequel series that goes back to Miami 1991, when Dexter Morgan was still a forensics intern and the killing hadn't started yet. Patrick Gibson plays the young Dexter; Christian Slater is his adoptive father Harry.
The bloodlust is already there. Harry sees it and doesn't call a psychiatrist — he hands his son a code instead. Kill only killers. Leave no evidence. Stay invisible inside the very department hunting monsters. Each episode runs these two tracks in parallel: Dexter learning the mechanics of police work by day, and learning what he is by night.
Michael C. Hall, who carried the original Showtime series from 2006 to 2013, appears here in a framing role. Gibson doesn't mimic him — he plays an earlier, rawer version of the same man, before the dark passenger became routine.
