Synopsis
Daddy Issues (2024) is a British comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Twenty-four-year-old Gemma lives loud and reckless: parties, hookups, no plan whatsoever. Then a pregnancy test changes the math.
With nobody else to turn to, she ends up moving back in with her dad. Malcolm has just blown through his savings, he's grinding through a brutal divorce, and growing up is the last thing on his agenda, never mind becoming a grandfather. So two people who both badly need to act their age share one flat, and neither wants to go first. They bicker over the dishes, meddle in each other's love lives, stumble into awkward new friendships and slowly, through a string of disasters, learn to look after one another.
Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education) and David Morrissey play the pair without an ounce of sugar, sharp and warm and genuinely funny. From director Damon Beesley, co-creator of The Inbetweeners, it suits anyone who likes a British sitcom where the crude jokes hide an honest conversation about family. Rated 18+.
