TV-14Season 2
Synopsis
James May: Our Man in Italy (2022), Season 2 is a six-part travelogue you can watch online on iFILM, taking the ex-Top Gear host the full length of Italy, from Sicily to the Dolomites.
It opens on sunny Sicily under Mount Etna, an island fought over for millennia. The rural south throws up a goat that badly needs milking and a detour through Dante's Inferno, with the Amalfi Coast for relief. Every road leads to Rome; from there James reaches Renaissance Florence for art and alchemy, then Emilia-Romagna for fast cars and slow-aged cheese. He winds up among the marble quarries of Carrara, the port of Genoa, Milan's tailors and Venice, before the Dolomites close the trip.
The format hasn't shifted since Japan, but Italy hands May far more to be wry about — ancient grandeur pressed up against everyday chaos. Worth a look if you want the country without the pizza-and-holiday clichés, narrated by a deadpan Englishman chasing la dolce vita. Stream James May: Our Man in Italy Season 2 online on iFILM.

S2·E1God's Apology
James' journey begins on the sunny shores of Sicily, a fascinating island that's been fought over for millennia. Here, where cultures collide under the shadow of Mount Etna, James explores the simple pleasures that have sustained people for generations, such as chopping bits off statues, Canoe Polo, and bagpipes.
S2·E2House of Pain
In the beautiful, rural south of the mainland, James is forced to confront a vision of hell courtesy of Dante's Inferno - and a goat that urgently needs milking. The Amalfi Coast offers some much-needed respite before he dives headfirst into the breathless, chaotic, sea of humanity that is the city of Naples.

S2·E4Really, Really Nice Cheese
James tests his Renaissance man credentials with a spot of art, science, and alchemy in Florence. Emilia-Romagna see the worlds of fast-moving cars and slow-aging cheese, before James ends up in a town that feels strangely familiar.
S2·E5Hey Pesto
Size matters, as James visits the vast marble quarries of Carrara and the massive Genoa port. Then it's to the elusive, as James searches for a semblance of peace in the face of killer robots, and a decent cup of tea in Turin.
S2·E6Bye, Bim
In Milan, James submits to a wardrobe update, tries his hand at some exquisite craftsmanship - and bids goodbye to an old friend. Next stop: Venice, by land, air, and lagoon, while in the Dolomites James finds the darker side of Christmas.
