Synopsis

Hu Yitian and Zhang Jingyi lead a story where her bond with Gu Yanxi, feared head of the Seven Constellations, grows out of shared disaster.
Director Zhu Ruibin skips the usual palace-revenge intrigue for a drama of survival and sheer resourcefulness — an unusual turn where the heroine's weapon is an account book and a spine, not a blade. The appeal is plain: it's a period saga about keeping a home afloat rather than who poisons whom. One for fans of Chinese historical dramas with a strong lead.
