Synopsis
Forever (2025) is a Netflix coming-of-age drama you can watch online on iFILM. Los Angeles, the late 2010s. Two Black high-schoolers who were close as kids run into each other at a party, and old friendship turns into something they aren't ready to name.
Keisha is an athlete with a plan, terrified that one wrong move could cost her the future she's been chasing. Justin is softer, unsure of himself, still figuring out who he is. Their first love plays out in 3 a.m. texts, dumb fights, college pressure and the quiet dread that the feeling they think is permanent might not survive the year. The show takes its time. It listens to the small stuff — a pause on the phone, the weight of a first apology.
Created by Mara Brock Akil and loosely drawn from Judy Blume's 1975 novel, the series moves the romance into the present and into well-off Black families rarely centered on screen. Regina King sits among the directors. Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. carry it on awkward, genuine chemistry. If polished teen romance has worn thin for you, this one talks straight.
