Synopsis
Banished to a speck of France off the Canadian coast — that's how Saint-Pierre (2025) puts its detective to work. It's a crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, where postcard scenery and fishing-village calm keep getting interrupted by bodies that don't belong there.
Newfoundland inspector Fitzpatrick blew the whistle on corruption back home, and his reward was exile to a tiny French-speaking island where he barely speaks the language. His new partner is Deputy Chief Archambault, every bit as stubborn as he is reluctant. Two people who can't stand each other end up solving cases far stranger than such a small place should produce. Joséphine Jobert and Allan Hawco carry the pairing, trading sarcasm while a grudging respect slowly forms.
This Canadian-American production rotated five directors, T.J. Scott among them, and the island itself does heavy lifting — fog, rock, and a closed community where everyone knows everyone's business. The angle is simple: the smaller the town, the bigger its secrets. One for viewers who love Shetland and cold-sea northern mysteries. Stream Saint-Pierre (2025) online on iFILM.
