Synopsis
Dog Work (Sobachya rabota, 2012) is a Russian police drama you can watch online on iFILM. Captain Ilya Smagin is a cynologist — a dog handler — and during a special operation he loses Ragdai, his partner and one of the finest tracker dogs in the service.
The loss knocks him flat. He and Ragdai had worked countless call-outs together, and no order or kennel replacement can simply paper over that. To get back on the job, Smagin has to learn to trust all over again — both a new dog and the people beside him — in a line of work where the animal counts for as much as any partner in uniform.
Vladimir Epifantsev leads, alongside Irina Lachina, Svetlana Nemolyaeva and Mikhail Politseymako. The show runs on one plain, effective idea: a service dog is a comrade, never a tool.
