Synopsis
Dragon Sakura (2005) is a Japanese drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Hiroshi Abe plays Kenji Sakuragi, a debt-ridden lawyer who ends up at Ryuzan — a high school with an average entrance score of 36 out of 100 and a perfect zero-for-forever record of sending students to Tokyo University.
His self-serving plan: get five of the school's lowest-ranked students into Todai within one year. Masami Nagasawa and Yui Aragaki are among the recruits. Sakuragi doesn't teach literature or calculus — he teaches the exam itself: how entrance questions are structured, what the markers look for, how to think under pressure. He's not a hero. He needs this win as badly as they do.
