Synopsis

The summer of 1985. Tatyana Katayeva, a linguistics graduate from the provinces, arrives at a gated dacha settlement to tutor the grandson of Professor Zabelin. Inside the gates: personal drivers, restricted-access shops, a social layer that runs by different rules than the country she grew up in. Then she sees something she wasn't supposed to see. The local police make clear within minutes that they've already decided what happened.
